Menjadi Pembicara Publik Andal: Fenomena Public Speaker, Antara Kebutuhan dan Tren

Abstract


As the overwhelming information is on the rise,effective communication is a necessary strategy for public speakers to deliver the message to a wide range of audiences. As a result, public speaking requires not only speaking skill, but also a basis competence integrating other three elements into the skill, science, art, and soul. This article discusses strategies of becoming good and reliable public speakers. It argues that these strategies play an important role in conveying the message to the audience in an effective and efficient way.

Di tengah gempuran jutaan informasi yang muncul di hadapan kita setiap hari, menuntut seorang public speaker untuk memikirkan strategi yang andal agar pesan tersampaikan secara efektif. Public speaking bukan lagi sekedar sebagai keterampilan berbicara, namun sudah menjadi sebuah kompetensi yang mensyaratkan terintegrasinya empat unsur dalam diri public speaker, yakni science, skills, arts dan souls. Artikel ini mendiskusikan bagaimana strategi menjadi seorang public speaker yang baik dan andal agar pesan dapat tersampaikan tepat sasaran, sesuai harapan, dan bertahan lama dalam benak audien
